Regent Park CED

As partners in Phases 1, 2 and 3 of the Regent Park revitalization, The Daniels Corporation (Daniels) and Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC) understand the importance of creating community economic development (CED) opportunities for local residents. From the outset, there has been a commitment by all partners to prioritize social infrastructure initiatives alongside the development of physical infrastructure.

A focus of this work has been to create pathways and opportunities for community economic development through employment. Not only have Daniels’ consultants, trades and commercial partners have been mobilized to create employment opportunities for Regent Park Residents, but Daniels and TCHC also work closely with trade unions, and social service agencies to develop training programs for youth.
